The Rathaus Galerie Essen is located in the middle of the Ruhr area - in the river - as it is called here, in the middle of the pedestrian zone, in the heart of Essen and that since 1979.

Although the Rathaus Galerie Essen was extensively renovated in 2010, it is now time to shake off the dust of old times and let it shine in a new light. The goal of the whole thing: The Rathaus Gallery should once again become a meeting place for food and surroundings. In addition to the liveliness of the outdoor area, through the entrance of a café, directly next to the main entrance at Porscheplatz, there will be an approx. 700m² large new food mall, meet and entertain friends with high quality accommodation. The town hall gallery will also be changed optically, as it will be redesigned with reference to the district and its inhabitants.
